New iPod battery upgrade launched
A new battery upgrade designed for use with the 30GB model of the iPod video has been launched by a US company.
PDASmart.com's new device extends the playing time of the music player by over 45 hours when it is used just for listening to tunes, while it also lasts for 24 hours if used solely for watching videos.
In addition, the new kit comes with a new rear casing for the device, as the battery needs extra space when in use.
Trey Mattox, the chief executive of PDASmart.com owner Optimistic Enterprises, said that complaints had led to the development of the new system.
He added that the battery helps "customers gain the playing time they deserve".
As well as more battery time, iPod users may also be able to enjoy more music on their music players.
It has been reported that Sony BMG is thinking about offering people unlimited access to their music libraries in exchange for a subscription fee.
