Memorex launch new iPod alarm clock

Electronics company Memorex has announced the launch of a new iPod-compatible alarm clock radio.

The iWake features a universal dock connector which can be used to charge and connect all iPod models to system, meaning users can be woken up every morning by their favourite tunes.

However, if people do not have their portable music player handy, they can also listen to songs via the system's AM and FM radio tuner.

Carla Pihowich, Memorex's brand manager for Imation, said: "The Memorex iWake clock radio, now in blue, purple and red metallic finishes, is not only an ideal complement to home decor, it also functions as a versatile alarm clock.

"The iWake connects consumers to their favourite music and offers another way for consumers to enjoy their iPod - all in a chic design."

Earlier this year, iPod accessories manufacturer XtremeMac also launched a new alarm clock which is compatible with the portable music player, the Luna X2.
