Girl has unhappy Christmas after iPod prank
A girl in the US had a rather unhappy Christmas after opening up the packaging of her new iPod to find there was no music player inside.
Instead of the portable entertainment device, the youngster from Maryland was greeted by the sight of a strange note proclaiming that she should "reclaim her mind from the media's shackles".
According to reports, the girl's father returned the packaging, along with the note, to the store he purchased it from, only to be told that another customer had suffered the same misfortune.
However, it is still unclear if this strange kind of Christmas cheer originated from the retailer or the iPod manufacturer Apple.
The news of the unhappy Christmas has come after it was claimed in reports that Apple are set to tie up a major deal with Fox to bring more film content to the music device.
It is believed the new deal, which is reportedly close to being completed, will allow iTunes users the chance to download rental copies of new releases for a short period of time.
