iSkin launches rival for Tuneshell casing
iPod accessories manufacturer iSkin has launched a new transparent casing product to rival Tunewear's Tuneshell protection for the iPod nano 3G.
The Claro is a polycarbonate shell designed to protect music players from scratches and keep the iPod safe from general wear and tear.
Expected to retail for $39.99 (£20), the design also features a kickstand for users to sit back and watch their favourite videos without needing to keep hold of the portable entertainment device.
The product has been launched in conjunction with several other new iSkin protective products, including "slims", which are skins designed to be used either with the Claro or on their own.
iSkin's launch of the Claro has come just days after fellow iPod accessories manufacturer Tunewear launched its own protective casing for the iPod nano 3G.
Retailing for around $19.95 (£10), the Tuneshell is a similar polycarbonate case designed to protect the music player from damage.
According to MacWorld, the case also allows users easy access to the dock connector, headphone jack and click wheel of the music player.
