Gear4 BluEye 'transforms iPod into phone'

Those who are impatient for the arrival of the iPhone could purchase the Gear4 BluEye Bluetooth iPod accessory while they wait.

The BluEye connects to the iPod or iPod nano via the docking socket at the bottom of the player, turning your iPod into a mobile phone.

When paired with a mobile phone, the music stops each time a call is received and the caller's voice can be heard through the user's headphones.

Calls can be accepted or rejected using the BluEye's buttons/remote control.

Meanwhile, missed calls are tracked so that the user can access the last nine numbers and the device also has a built-in radio.

Speaker quality is "excellent", according to Pocket Lint.

The Gear4 BluEye is available for £49.99 from Amazon, with free delivery.
