Ixos launches iPod Disco Cube

For iPod users wanting something a little bit different this Christmas, Ixos has launched its iPod Disco Cube.

This fluorescent cube flashes its lights with the beat of the music, allowing the user to charge and synchronise their iPod at the same time.

Bringing back memories of the era of the Rubricks cube and Duran Duran, the Disco Cube could also be ideal for a Christmas party.

The Ixos Disco Cube is compatible with all MP3 players and has a 3.5 mm jack.

It retails at £75 and is available from Debenhams.

Meanwhile, the iPod recently proved useful when 25-year-old Pini Nou of Vancouver, Washington was mushroom-picking and became lost.

Nou used the glow of his iPod Nano as a flashlight to attract his rescuers' attention while speaking to them via mobile telephone, the Seattle Times reported.
