Get the most from your iPod with the iDeck

Monitor Audio has releases a new system that transforms the iPod to a high-end separates hi-fi system.

The dock system comes with separate speakers for thumping bass and high-end frequencies. These can be positioned in a range of ways, including by placing the speakers on wall mountings.

A 30-pin connector port allows for direct connection to a computer via USB or Firewire, meaning that the iPod wont have to be removed from the dock to upload new content.

Reviews for sound quality have been glowing, with What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision awarding it product of the year 2005 and giving it a five-star rating.

In a review, the magazine said: This is the most convincing iPod docking speaker system we've heard yet, and its spacious sound is more 'capable micro system' than 'capable computer speakers'.

"And it goes loud - very loud! Verdict: A great-looking, great-sounding and very loud iPod docking kit. Stack'em high Monitor Audio!"

Endorsed by a host of celebrities, including Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross and Gavin Henson, the iDeck can be bought now for £199.
