Thanks given for iPods
Thousands of Americans certainly will have been thankful this holiday weekend, with sales of iPods confirmed to be "staggering".
From Friday to Saturday of the Thanksgiving weekend, sales of the Black iPod nano 4GB were up 95 per cent on the week before, with the white version recording an equally impressive rise of 88 per cent.
Apple has officially confirmed that demand for the iPod nano has been extraordinarily high, while Best Buy sold out of the gadget over the weekend.
Rumours have already been spreading that many US stockists will have run out of iPod stocks by Christmas, which could have prompted many shoppers to give this year's must have gift earlier in the holiday season.
