Mac dock for iPod?
Apple plans to integrate an iPod dock onto the next Mac Mini, fresh rumours have suggested.
Thinksecret, a website devoted to tracking all Apple-related developments, claims that sources have let slip that the new Mac Mini will include a dock.
If true, this will be great news for iPod video owners, as it will allow easy transfer of video content to the player. It is also thought that the move indicates Apple intends to make greater use of iTunes for sharing television programmes.
It was first rumoured that Mac Minis were capable of sporting an iPod dock in March last year.
A computer enthusiast took his Mac Mini apart and found unused connections on the riser card and a firewire link that did not appear to connect to anything. In a feat of archaeological reasoning that would do Indiana Jones proud he concluded the design had originally included a dock.
