A new game has been released which allows iPod users to live out their Captain Jack Sparrow fantasies and take to the high seas.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Aegir's Fire, which has been based on Disney's recent blockbusting film series, has been made available for owners of the portable music player to download from iTunes.
In the game, players are challenged to engage in battles with navy ships while hunting for a mysterious flame that can drag ships to the bottom of the ocean.
People who own the nano, classic and video-enabled models of the iPod will be able to buy the new game for around $5 (£2.57).
Sega recently praised the iPod for the opportunities it has offered the company and its own gaming products.
The head of the US division of the firm, Simon Jeffery, told MCV.co.uk that Apple is "one of the smartest companies in the world" for offering people a chance to buy a game from its iTunes store and have it downloaded on to an iPod in "a couple of clicks".
