Sony has launched a new clock radio which can be used in conjunction with all models of both the iPod and the iPhone.
The ICF-ClipMK2 system features a dock that allows users of Apple's portable devices to connect the hardware to the clock radio and listen to their favourite tunes through the system.
As well as the iPod-compatible feature, which also allows people to charge their music players, the new system also comes with a remote control, as well as radio tuning and volume facilities.
The clock radio is set to be released in May and will retail for around $100 (£51).
Sony's latest iPod-compatible system has been released after Krell announced that its KID technology, described by the company as "the world's best iPod dock", is to be released in the UK.
The product, which has been designed to provide users with excellent sound quality when they link their iPod to a hi-fi, is expected to retail for around £1,350 when it hits British electronics retailers.
