A new iPod case designed to make it easier for music fans to listen to their favourite tunes on the move has been unveiled.

iFrogz new Audiowrapz case, which has been created for use with the iPod nano 3G, is made from silicon and features an embedded speaker that allows users to enjoy tunes without needing to use earphones.

The design of the case extends the length of the iPod by only an inch, while the speaker system can be connected to the music player via the device's headphone jack.

In a recent review by iProng, the website stated that the new case was "the kind of product that audiophiles will quickly dismiss, but the general public will love it to death".

The cases, which are available in a variety of colours, retail in the US for around $25 (£13).

iFrogz new case has been released after Digital Lifestyle Outfitters also launched a case for the iPod nano which features a kickstand to make it easier for people to watch videos on the device.
