A new set of speakers which makes use of the plastic packaging that new iPod nanos come in has been released.
Bird-Electron's EZ17-B iPod recycling speaker set uses the old casing as the body of its system, meaning eco-friendly music fans can pat themselves on the back for saving the planet while they listen back to their favourite tunes.
The speaker system requires no external power source to run either, as it is powered via its connection to a music player's headphone jack.
As well as being attractive to people who want to be greener, the price tag of around £19 may interest those looking for a relatively cheap set of portable speakers for use when they are on the move.
