iPod accessories manufacturer Mustek has unveiled a new digital photo frame which is compatible with the portable entertainment player.

The company's PF-i700 allows people to show off their favourite pictures stored on their iPod, as well as allowing them to listen to tunes through the accessory's integrated stereo speakers.

iLounge reports that the seven-inch frame also features USB connectivity, meaning users can simply upload their favourite photos directly for their PC or memory sticks.

Speaking to the website about the new device, Mustek's national sales and marketing manager, David Ficken, said: "For years consumers have stored their music libraries on iPods and now they’re saving their favourite photos, TV shows, video clips and movies there, too."

The release of the device, which retails for $130 (£65), has come after a private hospital announced it was offering pregnant women the chance to download scans of their unborn children on to their iPod.

It is thought that the service will cost between £140 and £360.
