Electronics skin designer Digital Camo has launched a new range of designs suitable for use with the iPod.

The skins, which protect the portable music players from scratching and general wear-and-tear, have been made for second and third generation versions of the iPod nano, shuffle, classic and touch.

According to iLounge, the new range is available in a variety of designs and gives users the chance to customise their players by adding text in a choice of fonts.

The new products are expected to retail for around $10 (£5).

As well as iPod skins, Digital Camo also designs protective covering for a number of electronic devices, including mobile phones, computers and external hard drives.

The release of its new range of skins follows PDO's introduction of aluminium protective cases for the iPod classic and the video-enabled iPod nano.

Expected to retail at around $30 (£15) and $25 (£12) respectively, the new cases will be available to ship from the end of October.
