Keyspan has launched a new remote that enables iPod users to browse and select files on their devices using wireless technology.

The TuneView system has a colour LCD screen and provides an iPod dock and a USB power adaptor, enabling users to connect their iPod to stereos and TVs, while also being able to charge the device using the power adaptor.

According to Mike Ridenhour, president of Keyspan, the TuneView system is "unique" compared to the other remotes available on the market.

"TuneView features a colour LCD screen that lets you remotely view the contents of your iPod and control playback – allowing you to manage the iPod as if it were in your hands," he commented.

The two-way RF remote has been launched in North America with a retail price of $179 (£90.60).

Keyspan recently launched its AV Dock for iPod, enabling users to connect their iPod to other devices, such as PCs, stereos and TVs.

The dock system is compatible with all designs of iPods, including the iPod mini and nano.
