High-end speaker manufacturer Bose has announced its loudspeaker/iPod dock combo is going down a storm amongst British consumers.

The Bose SoundDock has been designed so that the iPod slots into the front, at the base of the speaker whilst the bay can be swapped to accommodate the different sizes of iPod, ranging from the iPod Mini and the 40gb version.

The back of the SoundDock sports a connector to allow you to hook it up to a Mac or PC and is controlled by remote, and track details can be seen on the iPod's display.

Although official sales figures haven't been unveiled, Bose indicated that sales have exceeded initial expectations.
