Speculation that Apple is to release a Bluetooth-enabled iPod has been sent soaring after French web site Mac4Ever drew attention to claims made by a leading technology expert that trials were nearing completion.
Speaking in Cannes last week during the 3GSM trade show there, Bogdan Nedelcou, head of vehicle accessories at Motorola, made the claims on radio station France-Info.
The Motorola senior executive said to the show's host, Jerome Colombain, that an accessory enabling wireless in-car iPod listening was "coming soon" and would be the next major product to hit the consumer iPod accessory market.
Apple has so far refrained from confirming these reports.
