Similarly to a previous reveiwer, having heard the considerably more expensive Bose equivalent, I was a little apprehensive about how this may sound. However, the sleek, curved appearance is complimented by the exceptional sound quality on offer. With only an on/off button and volume control, this unit is minimalist in the extreme, but is also very stylishly built and compact, the curvature of the speakers resulting in not only a perfect cradle for the iPod, but a well distributed sound, and a beautiful listening experience. If I had to pick any holes in it, I would point to two things. Firstly, the remote control is a little on the small side, and is not terribly responsive, leaving the user requiring a good aim and a firm press. Secondly, regardless of the volume you last stopped the unit at, on restart, it defaults to a fairly high volume setting, whcih can be a little annoying. However, these are minor issues, and I would recommend this as a fantastic low price alternative to the established, but certainly no better Bose units. I for one will stick with this make as they develop, and suggest that you could indeed do a lot worse than plump for one of these.

I had the last version of this speaker and it wasn't the best sound system I have owned, but I always got on well with Klipsch so I thought I would stay with them. I am pleased I did on this performance. This is a brilliant speaker and has sound quality better than my CD player, which in my experience is quite rare for an iPod dock. There's a very crisp audio and deep bass that I have found even carries through the door of my bedroom and into the lounge without a problem. Thoroughly recommended to anyone looking for that little bit of extra quality from their iPod.
